綠卡
I-829解除有效條件式綠卡身份
有效條件式綠卡，以投資移民類別為例。「條件式綠卡」又稱為「臨時綠卡」，時效為兩年。申請人在條件式移民身份兩年到期前90天需向移民局遞交「解除有效條件式綠卡」的申請，當批准後便能獲得十年期的正式永久綠卡。若投資人未在90天前向移民局遞交「解除有效條件式綠卡」申請，將會收到終止身份與出庭通知，而失去永久居民的身份。
應備文件：
1.已批准的I-526相關文件
2.有效條件式綠卡
3.社會安全卡
4.I-829申請相關填寫表格
5.投資案事業體相關文件，包括投資金額是否有積極投入企業運作，每位投資者是否有聘雇到10位當地全職員工等等..。 (由投資公司之委辦律師負責)
6.能讀，寫，說基本之英語

10年期永久綠卡:
「永久綠卡」的有效期限為10年，投資移民身份者於2年臨時綠卡到期後，便可做I-829解除有效條件式綠卡身份拿到10年永久綠卡。永久綠卡持有者在10年綠卡到期前6個月或到期後都可以向移民局申請延期，取得一張新的有效期為10年的綠卡。

我如何申請美國公民？ How Do I Apply for U.S. Citizenship?
為了有資格申請入籍，你必須：
1.年滿18歲以上
2.在美居住若干年
3.行為良好
4.對美國歷史及政府基本認知
5.本人連續居住在美記錄
6.能讀，寫，說基本之英語
以下人士除外
7.55歲在美住居至少15年
8.50歲在美住居至少20年
9.因身體或精神障礙無法履行以上條件者。
To be eligible for naturalization you must:
1.Be age 18 or older;
2.Be a permanent resident for a certain amount of time (usually 5 years but less for some individuals);
3.Be a person of good moral character;
4.Have a basic knowledge of U.S. history and government;
5.Have a period of continuous residence and physical presence in the United States;
6.Be able to read, write and speak basic English.
There are exceptions to this rule for someone who
7.is 55 years old and has been a permanent resident for at least 15 years;
8.is 50 years old and has been a permanent resident for at least 20 years;
9.has a permanent physical or mental impairment that makes the individual unable to fulfill these requirements.

合法永久居民進出美國會受到一些限制
如有以下問題，可申請白皮書以便合法離開再進入美國。
需要離開美國1年以上。
因已在其他國家定居的記錄雖離開美少於1年但被認定放棄在美居住。
A reentry permit can help prevent two types of problems:
A lawful permanent resident (LPR) normally may travel outside the United States and return;
however, there are some limitations. Your Permanent Resident Card becomes technically invalid for reentry into the United States. If you are absent from the United States for 1 year or more. Your U.S. permanent residence may be considered as abandoned for absences shorter than 1 year if you take up residence in another country.

遇到以下原因 必須更換綠卡:
一、10年之永久綠卡到期前6個月內
二、2年有條件式綠卡到期前90天 需申請移除條件
三、若綠卡遺失 被竊或損壞
四、14歲前申請之綠卡 於年滿14歲時必須更新
五、綠卡必須有效才能證明永久居民的身份
Encounter a green card must be replaced the following reasons:
| 1. | You should renew your Permanent Resident Card if you were issued a card valid for 10 years tat has either expired or will expire within the next 6 months. |
| 2. | If your Permanent Resident Card is valid for only 2 years, you will need to file a petition to remove conditions of your residence 90 days before the card expires. |
| 3. | Apply to replace your Permanent Resident Card if any information on your card needs to be changed, or if your card has been lost, stolen or damaged. |
| 4. | Also, if you became a permanent resident before you turned 14 years old, you are required to replace your card when you become 14 years old. |
| 5. | It is important to keep your card up-to-date. Without a valid card, it may be difficult for you to prove that you are a permanent resident. |
